Project Overview
The Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater presented a puppet program entitled On the Day You Were Born at the Rush City School and a puppet program entitled Coyote Stories at Hinckley schools. Each puppet performance was followed by a puppet making workshop and at each Public Library.

A total of 571 students and adults attended the program. / Event Dates, Locations and Attendance at each individual event: February 24 – Rush City Public Library (26), Rush City Public Schools (300); March 13 – Hinckley Public Library (23), Hinckley Public Schools (222)

Attendees will be exposed to puppet theater, learn about the art of puppet making, thereby bringing the community together by witnessing the act of transformation – of bringing something inanimate to life.

What was your favorite part of the workshop? She worked well with the kids and they were able to do the project on their own. Thank you! -- Creativity and helping each student/child do their own project at their own pace. Thank you! -- Making the fun bird puppet. / What was your favorite part of the performance? -- The baby climbing and tumbling. -- Spraying audience with water and confetti. -- All the music made by the instruments.
