Library Day at the Kanabec County Fair
Attendees will learn about: circus performance, its history and the influences other performing arts, such as theatre and dance, have had on its development; develop an understanding of the terminology used by circus performers and the procedures used to insure safety in both training and performance; develop an increased self-confidence in observing that each individual circus performer has unique talents as do they; and increase circulation of library materials about the circus and circus performers.
59% of those attending the Library Day at the Fair enjoyed the activity, but only 54% said it met their expectations. Comments at the fairgrounds included: Myself and the kids were amazed and had a great time: DON'T EAT LIGHT BULBS, NOT KID APPROPRIATE. The program at the library received mixed results with only 50% rating it as excellent and only 50% saying it met their expectations. Comments included: great job, I like how they incorporated the importance of books with what they were performing; thank you for coming to town!
