Explorer and author, Tyler Fish, gave a presentation about the book, Forward, which is about the first American unsupported expedition to the North Pole which he took part in. He gave a presentation at the Chisago Lakes Area Library on October 9, 2012 and at the Rush City Public Library on March 13, 2013.

Attendees will learn about the first unsupported expedition to the North Pole without resupply; about endurance, passion and the process of putting together a book about their unique experience.

Measurable Outcome(s)

90% of attendees at both the Rush City and Chisago Lakes presentations enjoyed the program and felt the quality of the program was excellent. They also stated: I really wasn't that interested in the subject before I came, but it was a really interesting presentation; He was a very strong speaker - easy to listen to. I liked how he was funny and interacted with us. We had to come to a Lit event. I would come again; very inspiring story with a good message.
