KFAI - Live From Minnesota
“Live From Minnesota” documents the work of resident (local) artists as musicians/performers/composers/spoken word artists and across genres. These live concerts, presented in theaters; coffee shops; restaurants; libraries; and art galleries by other producers,
are recorded and edited by KFAI into half-hour segments. Air time are Wednesday’s at 7:30 p.m. The chosen time frame allows Minnesotan’s to hear the edited concert at home or in their car, and not preventing attendance at another evening event. Content will be selected based on the performance or performers connection to Minnesota history and/or uniqueness to the state.
KFAI will produce 16 new segments of live performances, edited to 30 and 60 minute formats.Four of the 16 segments will feature emerging artists, youth from K-12. The combination of arts and culture woven into the facet of community life – food, crafts, and people– will extend KFAI’s ability to introduce youth to the performing arts performed by their peers.
