Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Arts, culture and history will be interwoven into every facet of community life. “Women’s History Month” series is an acknowledgment of how various women have been effective in making life in Minnesota an extraordinary place to live, work and raise a family. Our audience will learn how ordinary Minnesota women have achieved many remarkable results when they chose to take a stand, and make a difference.Arts, culture and history will thrive in Minnesota. March is National Women’s History Month, and KUMD has taken this time to observe local and Minnesota women, who have made a positive impact in our state. Some of the women featured in these biographies are historical figures who have changed our lives in Minnesota, others are actively engaged in their endeavors today, making history as we speak.More locally and Minnesota focused content. All featured women are Minnesotans, either past or present.More knowledge and awareness of the way that history affects people’s lives and how that knowledge can help people make informed decisions for the future. The “Women’s History Month” special series acknowledges those women who have made a positive impact on Minnesota communities. The airing of these biographies is significant in that it validates the work these women have done, and spotlights how their work can be replicated by others.
