Project Overview

Minnesota State University’s Good Thunder Reading Series has been a remarkably successful literary showcase for years. Currently under the Direction of Dr. Richard Robbins (himself an accomplished poet), the series strives to highlight mostly Minnesota authors whose work has achieved a high level of peer respect. These authors usually spend at least two days on campus, meeting with students, talking about their craft and reading from their published works. The expansion of this program with KMSU and the Arts and Cultural Heritage Funds will be to take these talented authors to a more accessible setting, like a local coffee shop, and have them read from their published works, be interviewed and take Q & A from the local live audience. This will all be recorded and produced for radio broadcast. The finished production will then be published online as well.
