KMOJ - Spoken Word
KMOJ Radio is producing a series of thirty second vignettes that highlight some of Minnesota top Spoken Word Artist and Poets. “Spoken word is a form of poetry that often uses alliterated prose or verse and occasionally uses metered verse to express social commentary. Traditionally it is in the first person, is from the poet’s point of view, and is themed in current events.” [Eleveld, Mark. (2003). The Spoken Word Revolution. New York: Sourcebooks MediaFusion. pp. 256]. This genre of artistic expression has very little exposure to a large number of Minnesotians. These vignette’s is named Spoken Word and features artist like: E.G. Bailey and Sha Cage, Ink Tea, Truthmaze, Ibe Kaba and Poetic Assassins just to name a few.
An estimated number of listeners for the segments, response from the website campaign and number of Facebook impressions and commints for those posted on Facebook. KMOJ will also post vignettes on the AMPERS/PRX website and calculate impressions.
