Project Overview

These events include an art fair free to all visual artists, making Native Arts, and Crafts for children. The events are free to all children. Also a Pow Wow demonstration explaining all cultural aspects of a Pow Wow to the audience. This three day eventsto be held with artists and musicians at Cass Lake Chamber of Commerce Rib Fest.

  • KOJB hired a local Native American Artist to work with children of the community to paint a mural and work on Native American crafts and artwork during the three-day event
  • Six area musician and bands performed at this event
  • The station also coordinated a Pow-wow demonstration to increase cultural awareness and teach visitors and local residents about the significance of the dances, drummers, and regalia
