Project Overview
The letters of Miriam Barber Judd, wife of former U.S. Congressman Walter Judd of Minneapolis, are brought together with context and edited by her daughter, Mary Lou Judd Carpenter, in the book Miriam's Words: The Personal Price of a Public Life. Mary Lou will present the story of her mother’s fascinating life as told through her letters, and provide commentary on how life in the middle of the 20th century might inform us today.
