Project Overview
Pop-Out Books (2/26, 4/24): Stretch your idea of what a book can be. Create your own pop-out book with one sheet of paper and a little magic folding and cutting. Presented by the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Registration required. Ages: 8–12. Pop-up Books (3/28): Explore the third dimension in bookmaking through paper engineering. Create your own Wacky Neighborhood pop-up book with an instructor from the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Registration required. Ages: 6–16. Flag Books (4/1): Make a book with small alternating pages that wave like flags and open to reveal a hidden illustration or message. Stretch it out to create a full picture with room to write. Presented by Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Registration required. Ages: 10–16. Stab Binding (5/7): Use stab binding, a simple yet elegant bookbinding technique, to make your own blank book. Binding designs are ideal for publishing student writing or to apply to future projects as small as a single sheet. Presented by the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Registration required. Ages: 10–16.
