700+ first-graders enjoyed an engaging musical performance featuring interactive songs and stories and promotion of reading and the library as part of Shakopee's annual First Grade Reading Get Together. The Shakopee Rotary and Shakopee Public Schools worked together to coordinate the event to generate excitement about reading in all Shakopee area first-graders. The students enjoyed the performance by Jack Pearson, and the community partners appreciated our contributions.
