Storybooks will be read and sung by trained opera singers for a special storytime, along with an arts and crafts project that coincides with the story. Children and adults are taught and shown creative ways to read and engage with books as well as learn about opera.

Participants will learn about the art of opera from a trained opera performer, who has experience working with children, offering age appropriate music experiences that are connected to books.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants loved the opera singing and how they engaged the children to joining in and connecting with a book. The enthusiasm and quality of activities was highly noted by the adults in attendance.
