Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The public will learn about the creative writing process and enhance their writing skills. Participants will learn about resources available through the library for writers. Sequential "Family Stories into Memoir" class will foster an opportunity for social engagement with other writers in the community and build mastery.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees learned about creative writing, developed their writing skills and gained confidence. One participant said, "I have become more confident as a writer." Participants developed relationships with other writers and even started a writer's group which meets monthly at the library. First Pages programs have inspired writers and created a stronger community of writers in Anoka County. Participants were made aware of library resources for writers available through the library.
