MacPhail Center for Music’s early childhood music specialists will present two programs focused on using music to develop pre-literacy skills in young children. The 4/17 theme will be Animals and 4/24 will be Rain.

Children will be exposed to music and musical activities to develop pre-literacy skills. Caregivers will learn about music and the impact on reading readiness.

Measurable Outcome(s)

All ages enjoyed the rhythms, shakers, sticks and the pace of the activities. Instructor shared many ideas with the adults to better engage children with music.
