Presenter, President of SCBWI, a regional children’s book writers and illustrators association will discuss the importance of the right pairing of illustration and words for a successful children’s book. She will also address children’s book editing.

This will be the first time we have focused on children’s materials writing, and the first time we have addressed book illustration.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Ms. Schwab gave an overview of publishing children's books from the view of author and/or illustrator. (Two to four years to get a picture book published.) She also spoke about how authors and illustrators can work together better.
