An author presentation about Carver County’s Barn Art. Presentation will include development of the county-wide project, role of artists helping with the project, history of the barns, families and how the quilt patterns were selected and meaning of the patterns, Also a mini (quilt-type) stenciling art project to make a greeting card to reinforce the topic.

Intergenerational audience will have an appreciation of the county history where they live, and be inspired to view the barns.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Those in attendance particularly enjoyed the history and personal stories of the quilt patterns and how they came to be. A greeting card was made from quilt patterns using 1 1/4" fabric quilt pieces.
