Provide reading records, incentives and book collections to selected school-age childcare, summer school, and summer food programs to run the library's "Summer Reading Program" with the children participating at their site. Offer a limited number of library field trip opportunities (with entertainment) at the sponsoring library branch.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
Participants will spend more time reading over the summer than they would have without the program. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the library and/or connect with a librarian and learn about the library and its services.
Measurable Outcome(s)
Offsite Summer Reading Program (OSSRP) reached nearly 2000 children with reading programs and incentives at 16 sites during the summer of 2015. Over 1300 kids enjoyed 37 librarian visits and library field trips featuring targeted reading and library messages. 6 evaluations were completed and returned, with 4 out of 6 reporting that children in their program read more because of OSSRP.
