Project Overview

Anoka County Historical Society will provide a series of programs called" Bringing Local History to Life" including historical players and artifacts at several locations. Digital Preservation Events held in conjunction some of the events in the series will allow residents to bring in photos and memorabilia to be digitally scanned.

Attendees will learn about Anoka County history. Attendees will be inspired to learn more and be made aware of library resources available. Digital Preservation Day attendees will learn about preservation and understand more about their personal connection to Anoka County history.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees learned about Anoka County history and the relationship between national history and local history. Of those that responded to a survey, 100% learned something new about Anoka County history. Of those, 80% were inspired or highly inspired to learn more about Anoka County history or other historical information. Patrons who attended were more aware of library and Anoka County Historical Society resources and programs.
