Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Patrons will hear stories or poems that celebrate different cultures. Patrons will learn about issues that older GLBTQ residents may confront. Patrons from a diverse background will feel welcome at the library. Patrons will check out related library mater

Measurable Outcome(s)

Evaluation results from documentary: 100% of attendees rated the quality of the program as good or better. 95% learned something new about seniors in the GLBTQ community. 95% learned about community resources to assist seniors in the GLBTQ community. Selected comment: I learned a lot from the film, I know how the older generation had made a pavement for my generation but I didn’t know how much they suffered. Once I saw the film, it opened my eyes and that got me thinking. Evaluation results from poetry reading: 100% of attendees rated the quality of the program as good or better. 100% enjoyed the poetry they heard. 38% plan to check out related materials. Selected comment: "Libraries are cool. Libraries are our houses of culture, information and communication, the vanguard of voices. This is one such proof that this is the case. Thank you, HCL, for hosting this event!" At the booth: 61 library cards, 2,500 library pins and collection-related bookmarks were distributed. Unfortunately, evaluations were not distributed at family storytelling event.
