Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Local authors will gain increased exposure to potential readers and learn about writing. Readers will learn about local talent.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees were able to meet 40 local authors to learn about their books as well as how they got into writing and were able to get their books published. They enjoyed hearing author Benjamin Percy speak about how he got into writing and about his writing process. Many attendees also gained valuable writing tips and encouragement from Loft workshops taught by Gail Rosenblum and Brian Malloy. Many people left with stacks of books they had purchased!
Attendee comments: "You can learn a great deal from these authors: how they began writing and what their books are about."
"Great speaker, funny & enthusiastic."
"A little long before questions."
