Project Overview
In September 2014, the Martin County Library began a 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. The Schiffelly Puppets came for a kick-off program. People in attendance had an opportunity to sign-up for the program before and after enjoying the puppet show. The Schiffelly Puppets are an award winning puppeteer group that performed a spin on the classic Rapunzel tale. A Blessing Comes, a group that prints made-to-order personalized books was also on hand for those who wished to purchase a children’s book to get their child started with the program. Library staff were present to help register children for the program.
