Project Overview
James Stordahl spoke at the Watonwan County/St. James Library April 23. He shared his experiences with bi-polar and also talked about raising a daughter with severe bi-polar depression. He also talked about his experience self publishing his books through Amazon. The audience was very interested in his talk, and many expressed a wish to hear from his wife about her experiences coping with bi-polar family members. At the end of the talk, he sold and signed books. He ran out of books to sell. As he was signing books, people told him about their own experiences with mental illness. Jim served 22 years in the military and worked for the post office for nearly thirty. He graduated from Madelia High School and then earned a BA from the University of Minnesota in Speech and Communications. Currently he is working on a Masters degree from Drake University. He currently lives in central Iowa.
