Portable sewing kits were an essential accessory for everyone from soldiers to housewives during the Civil War. “Housewives” would securely store thread, pins, needles and notions. During this workshop, participants will create modern versions of these popular Civil War era sewing kits. Presented by the Minnesota Historical Society.
