Arn Kind, educator and historical performer, assumes the role of a French Voyageur and shares tales and facts about the early fur trade in northern Minnesota. This educational and lively program features period costumes and props to better relate the life of a fur trader and the culture and stories that surrounds him.

The audience will find this program both educational and enlightening and will come away with a better sense of the life of a French fur trader and the culture that still has a major influence in and around the northern United States and Canada. Program success will be based on anecdotal responses at the conclusion of the program.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The audience was entertained and learned new information about the French fur trade in Minnesota thanks to Arn Kind’s unique and historically accurate presentation. Based on comments from the participants, Mr. Kind’s presentation was very enjoyable and held their interest throughout the program.
