Project Overview
MN First is about events in history that Minnesota participated in FIRST. Minnesota was the first to volunteer troops to fight in the Civil War. Minnesota was the first state to successfully put an end to the James/Younger Gang crime spree. A Minnesotan was the first to fly non-stop across the Atlantic Ocean, from New York to Paris. Minnesota sailors fired the first shots of the Pacific Campaign in World War II. In the other presentation you will learn how the Fur Trade started and worked, as well as the transportation system of goods and furs, how the Voyageur dressed, and how to paddle a 40 foot Montreal Canoe & portage heavy packs.
