Project Overview
Professional actresses to appear as "The Looney Lutherans" in a presentation entitled "USE YOUR FOOD," a guide to healthy living inside and out, from our kitchen to yours. Using music, comedy, and some help from the audience, these talented ladies shared some of their age-old wisdom for living a long and healthy life...the Lutheran way. The Looney Lutherans are a team of professional actresses who have come together in a fun and interactive, family-friendly show. Each of these talented women has been performing for years as actresses, singers, and improvisers in the Twin Cities and across the country, and have all been cast members of the hit Church Basement Ladies musicals, which have been running around the country since 2005. As the Looney Lutherans, they have appeared together in numerous shows in South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, and throughout Minnesota. Performances include a variety of segments on healthy living the Lutheran way including discussion of the Lutheran "food wheel" (all roads lead to hotdish) and a performance of the Lutheran food rap Eat Like a Lutheran. Their material is comedic, family-friendly and interactive.
