JoAH's Ark Petting Zoo
Attendees will experience a variety of animals, up-close and personal. This program will an opportunity for children and adults to learn more about animals and their role on the farm and in our culture and environment, especially those patrons who have not experienced rural life. The event will provide a good beginning for young minds to expand their knowledge of common and not so common creatures. Outcomes will be measured through post performance anecdotal responses and comments by those attending the program.
The attendees of the JoAH Petting Zoo were treated to a variety of animals. For many visitors, this was an opportunity to get close to and handle animals they had only read about in books or seen in pictures. The participants spoke highly of the experience, the variety of animals and the knowledgeable staff on hand.
