Project Overview
Kamehameha is the most widely used finishing attack in the Dragon Ball series and is the signature attack of the students of the Turtle School. The Dragon Ball author/manga artist tried a number of poses in order to decide the coolest pose for the Kamehameha. His wife came up with the term "kamehameha," which is the name of a Hawaiian king and also means "Turtle Destruction Wave" in Japanese. In Japan, taking kamehameha photos are all the rage. In the photos, teens pretend they are creating or are being blown away by energy waves. Jill McKeown, from Captured by Design Photography in Mankato, took pictures and collaborated with library staff and teens on composing the photos.
