Project Overview
Arn Kind, local historian and re-enactment actor, presents a brand new program in which he discusses and role- plays highlights historical firsts for Minnesota. They include Minnesota’s involvement in the Civil War and World War II, the James/Younger outlaw gang and the first trans-Atlantic solo flight. Arn brings his vast knowledge of events plus his visual interpretation of historical events to his very popular presentations.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The audience will gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the history of Minnesota as well as being treated to historically accurate personal accounts and tools, weapons and costumes of the period. Program success will be based on anecdotal responses at the conclusion of the program.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The audience was entertained and learned new information about the historical firsts for Minnesota thanks to Arn Kind’s unique and historically accurate presentation. Based on comments from the participants, Mr. Kind’s presentation was very enjoyable and held their interest throughout the program.
