Project Overview
The Watonwan County/St. JAmes Library offered two Teen Maker programs this fall. In October, teens made light up backpacks and bags. In December, the teens made toys for young children out of common household items such as cardboard tubes, duct tape and ribbons. The October program was so successful, we decided to offer the DIY Light Up Backpack project as one of the activities at the Holiday How-To Festival. Alexis Fajardo, one of the October participants, presented it at the Holiday How-To Festival in November.
