Project Overview
Bob Kann is a former professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison turned author, magician, storyteller and comedian. He will present “Heroes: Stories about Kids Who Saved the World”. These are exciting tales of fact and fiction drawn from online curricula that Bob has written about real-life heroes. Bob uses storytelling, magic, juggling and audience participation to engage the attendees and promote reading and life-long learning.

The audience will enjoy this multi-faceted performance that uses real and fictional characters to inspire the young participants. The audience will be encouraged to learn more about the heroes Bob features in his presentation and gain a better understanding of those who shape our lives. The audience will be surveyed by observation and post program anecdotal responses.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The audience enjoy this multi-faceted, interactive program and were encouraged to read more about the “heroes” who were featured in the presentation as well as learning more about the entertaining performing arts and skills that Bob used in his program. Participant comments when leaving the program were very positive.
